Gulf Air is the state-owned flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and one of the oldest airlines in the Middle East, with roots dating to 1950. It operates scheduled services to 28 countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe from its main base at Bahrain International Airport (OBBI), offering a boutique full-service network focused on Gulf connectivity, regional prestige, and premium travel.
Gulf Air Virtual
Gulf Air Virtual was born in 2021 as a founding carrier when GCC Virtuals officially launched in mid-April 2021. From day one it has represented Bahrain's heritage airline within the group — OBBI hub operations, regional Gulf routes, and the shared GCC Virtuals vision of bringing together certified virtual airlines under one crew center, built by aviation enthusiasts with virtual experience since 2011 and focused on flying, teamwork, realism, and continuous improvement.
