These Terms of Use are your legal agreement with GCC Virtuals. They govern the public website, community channels, and crew center for Kuwait Airways Virtual, Qatar Airways Virtual, Emirates Virtual, Gulf Air Virtual, Jazeera Airways Virtual, and Etihad Airways Virtual. Read them together with our operating rules (how to fly and report) and Privacy / GDPR notice (how we handle data).
Agreement
Final and binding agreement
By accessing the GCC Virtuals public website, crew center, Discord community, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Use and to comply with applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These terms form your legal agreement with GCC Virtuals. Day-to-day flying standards are set out separately in our operating rules. Personal data practices are explained in our Privacy / GDPR notice. Together, these documents define how membership works:
Terms of Use — legal rights, responsibilities, and liability.
Operating rules — how to fly, report PIREPs, and stay active.
Privacy / GDPR — what data we collect and your rights.
We may update these terms at any time. The current version will always be published on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
Community
About GCC Virtuals
GCC Virtuals is a non-profit virtual aviation community simulating Gulf region airline operations for entertainment and educational purposes. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any real-world airline, manufacturer, or aviation authority.
All airline names, logos, liveries, and related branding are used for simulation purposes only. Real-world trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Security
Account security and user integrity
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the security of your account and any associated identifiers such as VATSIM or IVAO IDs. Sharing credentials, lending your pilot ID, or allowing others to operate under your account is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent removal.
Accurate identity
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your crew center profile up to date, including valid contact details and network IDs where required. Use of false identities or misrepresentation is grounds for termination, as described in our operating rules.
Each member should maintain only one active GCC Virtuals account unless staff explicitly authorize otherwise.
When flying on IVAO or VATSIM, you must follow the rules of those networks and GCC Virtuals online-flight requirements.
Community
Acceptable use and community conduct
GCC Virtuals expects respectful, lawful behavior across all channels. You agree not to:
Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse other members or staff.
Attempt to disrupt, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to our website, crew center, or infrastructure.
Submit false PIREPs, manipulate flight data, or engage in cheating or rank abuse.
Use GCC Virtuals platforms for spam, unauthorized advertising, or unrelated political campaigning.
We may remove content or restrict access when conduct threatens community safety, fairness, or operational integrity.
Systems
Technical use and system abuse
Any attempt to interfere with, overload, damage, or exploit our systems is strictly prohibited. This includes automated scripts, botting flight hours, modifying telemetry, injecting code, or circumventing validation controls.
GCC Virtuals uses SmartCARS / ACARS telemetry to validate flights. Sim-rate above 1×, pause abuse, slew mode, mid-flight refueling, or other integrity violations described in our operating rules may result in automatic PIREP rejection and disciplinary action.
Flying
Virtual operations and flight standards
Operating rules
All flight activity must comply with GCC Virtuals operating rules, airline-specific standards where applicable, and reasonable simulation practice. Key expectations include:
Online flights on IVAO or VATSIM with correct identity
Approved fleet aircraft and valid bookings or charters
Normal simulation rate (1×), no slew or pause abuse during active legs
No mid-flight air refueling; realistic fuel planning required
SmartCARS / ACARS tracking for validated PIREPs
Minimum 3 accepted flights per month to remain active
SmartCARS and PIREP policy
SmartCARS (ACARS) usage is expected for validated operations. Use PIREP comments to explain unusual events. Manual PIREPs are exceptional only—for example verified tracking failure—and require staff approval with supporting evidence.
Validation and quality review
Staff and validators may reject invalid submissions, adjust hours or ranks, and issue warnings or suspensions. If more than 3 of your last 10 PIREPs are rejected (30%), your account may be placed under manual review as set out in the operating rules.
Ownership
Intellectual property and usage rights
Unless stated otherwise, original GCC Virtuals website content, graphics, manuals, and community materials are owned by GCC Virtuals or used under license. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
User-submitted content (for example profile information, PIREP remarks, or Discord messages) remains your responsibility. By submitting content, you grant GCC Virtuals a limited license to display and process it for community operations.
Custom liveries, ACARS integrations, and other original files created for GCC Virtuals remain our intellectual property unless staff explicitly grant written permission for external redistribution.
Software
Zero tolerance for piracy
Unauthorized simulation software
Promotion or use of cracked or pirated flight-simulation software, sceneries, or aircraft add-ons through GCC Virtuals channels is strictly prohibited. Accounts suspected of using unauthorized software may be terminated at our sole discretion.
We expect members to respect third-party developer intellectual property and to use legally obtained simulation products.
External
Third-party services and links
Our services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms such as the crew center, Discord, IVAO, VATSIM, and social media. Those services have their own terms and policies.
GCC Virtuals is not responsible for third-party availability, content, or actions. Use external platforms at your own discretion and in accordance with their rules.
Legal
Liability, indemnification, and disputes
Disclaimer of warranties
GCC Virtuals services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for recreational virtual aviation. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free systems, or specific outcomes from membership.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GCC Virtuals and its volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of our website, crew center, or community channels. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCC Virtuals and its staff from claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms, misuse of pirated software, or breach of third-party intellectual property rights.
For disagreements or claims, you agree to first attempt resolution through our internal contact and review process via the contact form or Discord before pursuing external action where permitted by law.
Administration
Staff confidentiality and decisions
Staff members may access internal tools, operational data, and pilot records for legitimate community purposes. You are prohibited from sharing, exporting, or misusing confidential internal information without authorization.
Decisions made by the administration regarding membership, rank, flight validation, and disciplinary actions are final within the scope of GCC Virtuals operations. Participation is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked when necessary to protect community integrity.
Changes
Suspension, termination, and updates
You may leave GCC Virtuals at any time. Staff may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, operating rules, or community standards—temporarily or permanently—with or without prior notice depending on severity. Grounds include repeated PIREP rejection, cheating, network misconduct, false registration data, and IVAO/VATSIM violations tied to GCC operations.
Upon termination, access to crew center features and community privileges may end immediately. Provisions that reasonably should survive (including conduct, disclaimers, and intellectual property) remain in effect.
GCC Virtuals may update these Terms of Use or the operating rules to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. For questions, use our contact form or reach us via Discord.
